South African deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to officially hand over Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre in Mookgopong tomorrow as part of Mandela day celebration.

Ramaphosa in partnership with the Limpopo provincial government will handover the state of the art facility named after Limpopo stalwart Ramadimetja Sophia Mogotlane on tuesday the 18th July.

Provincial government spokesperson Phuti Seloba says the centre will cater for over a hundrend children. 

“The centre will accomodate 124 children of ages ranging from 0 to five (5) years with a climate controlled structure that will enable each class to operate in isolation to accommodate children with Tuberculosis (TB).” Said Seloba.

Seloba further commended a pharmaceutical company for making a contribution of R6.2 million towards construction and equipments of the high tech centre.

He says “this is an investment into the future of young children as they believe in development from a foundation phase”

Ramaphosa, Premier Stanley Mathabatha and MECs will spend their 67 minutes painting the ECD guard house and the Service Centre for the elderly nearby.
